Terms of Use
Last updated: September 2026
These terms govern your use of YesPrice, a website at theyesprice.com. YesPrice is operated as a beta project by an individual (business registration details to be added before public launch).
By using YesPrice, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
What YesPrice is
YesPrice is a marketplace where sellers list items at a price they would accept (“Yes Price”) and buyers make offers. It is a place to find and connect with other people. YesPrice is not a party to any sale. It does not handle payment, hold money, verify items, verify sellers, verify buyers, or guarantee that any transaction will be completed.
Beta status
YesPrice is in beta. Some listings on the site are examples created to show how it works — these are marked with a “Beta example” tag. The site may contain bugs, may change without notice, and may be taken offline at any time. We will not be liable for any loss arising from the site being unavailable or behaving unexpectedly during beta.
Offers and what “binding” means
When a buyer makes an offer and a seller accepts it, we describe that as a “binding” offer. What we mean by that is:
- The buyer cannot withdraw the offer after the seller accepts.
- The seller cannot accept a different offer on the same listing once one is accepted.
- The offer expires after 7 days if the seller does not respond.
What we do not mean by that:
- We do not enforce performance. If either party doesn't follow through, YesPrice has no mechanism to compel them.
- We do not handle payment. No money passes through YesPrice.
- We do not provide dispute resolution.
- We are not a party to the contract between buyer and seller, if one exists.
Solicitor note: The word “binding” may imply a legally enforceable contract. We should clarify whether an accepted offer constitutes a contract under Australian law, and whether our role (or non-role) needs to be stated more precisely. This section needs legal review.
Your safety
When you meet another user to inspect or collect an item:
- Meet in a public place during daylight hours (e.g. a police station or shopping centre).
- Bring a friend or family member if possible.
- Inspect the item carefully before handing over payment.
- YesPrice does not handle payments — arrange payment directly between you.
- Pay on collection by cash or bank transfer.
- Be wary of anyone rushing you. Trust your instincts. If something feels wrong, walk away.
No verification
YesPrice does not verify:
- That items are genuine, accurately described, or legally owned by the seller.
- That sellers or buyers are who they claim to be.
- That any price, offer, or statement on the site is accurate.
You deal with other users at your own risk.
No warranties
The site is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the site will be available, error-free, or secure.
Removing listings and accounts
We may remove any listing, suspend any account, or restrict access to the site at our discretion, without notice. We are not obliged to give a reason.
No refunds
YesPrice does not handle any money. There is nothing to refund. If you pay another user directly and the transaction goes wrong, that is between you and them.
Your content
You are responsible for the content you post (listing descriptions, photos, messages). You must not post content that is illegal, misleading, infringes someone else's rights, or harasses another user.
Reporting
You can report a listing, a user, or a message using the Report function in the site. Reports are reviewed by us manually. There is no automated action — each report is read and acted on individually.
- Filing a false or malicious report may result in your account being suspended.
- We do not read private message threads. If you report a message, your written description of what happened is included; the message itself is not.
- You can file up to 10 reports per 24 hours. If you need to report more, or if something is urgent, email fattei@hotmail.com directly.
- If you are in immediate danger, contact police on 000. For anything urgent, email fattei@hotmail.com directly rather than filing a report.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
